Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 19, 2022

The privacy of your data is a big deal to us. In this policy, we lay out: what data we collect and why; how your data is handled; and your rights with respect to your data. We promise we never sell your data: never have, never will.

This policy applies to products built and maintained by Chaos Inferno LLC that are available to the general public. Chaos Inferno LLC also builds and maintains products for other companies which do not fall under this privacy policy. The main difference in those instances will usually be that the data is managed by Chaos Inferno LLC but owned, shared with, and accessible by those third parties pursuant to any contracts that exist between those entities and Chaos Inferno LLC. While this is true, we greatly value user privacy and always protect user's data to the best of our ability and are particular about our clients, with an emphasis on respecting user's right to privacy.

What we collect and why

We try to collect as little data as possible to provide users with the best experience possible. This means that we may collect any or all of the following data to make sure that using our services is as enjoyable as possible:

Account identity/personal info

When you sign up for a Chaos Inferno site or app we collect information such as your email address, name, phone number and company name. This helps us personalize your account and get in contact or notify you whenever necessary. We do our best to only notify you when we believe it's truly necessary. Other than reaching out when required for account administration or by legal and government regulations, we will not send you any other emails unless you give us permission to.

Billing information

Chaos Inferno LLC uses Stripe to process payments. That means that we never have access to your payment information - it never even hits our servers. Stripe handles storing and securing all your payment related information and provides us with a token that we use to charge your account, when necessary. Click here to view Stripe's privacy policy.

Data security

We do our best to keep your data as secure as possible. We use AWS to store data. This data is encrypted when not being accessed by you or us when necessary to help with account administration or at your request. We keep up to date with best security practices, but this does not mean that nothing will ever happen. If a data breach should occur, we will reach out and alert all our affected customers as soon as reasonably possible.

Data location

As we are a US based companies, our servers are hosted in the United States. This means that if you access any of our products from outside the US, your data will be transferred to US based servers.

If a contract with a client specifies otherwise, we will set up special servers in the requested location and keep the data stored strictly where specified by that contract.
